The Best Face Mist for Summer

June 18, 2018

I’m constantly on the hunt for the next best beauty product. It’s like I’m a kid again, playing a make believe game of treasure hunting — except that I’m adult, and my reward is finding a fun beauty product that also works really well. I love when that happens! Well, I’m happy to report that I no longer have to look for the best face mist, and I couldn’t be more excited.

After trying countless face sprays that claim to hydrate, even out and plump my skin, I’ve found my holy grail product: Herbivore Botanicals Rose Hibiscus Hydrating face mist. It’s taken me from dehydrated and inflamed skin this past winter to moisturized and plump. (Side note – I’ve never understood how your skin can look or feel “plump” in a good way… until I got a facial and I noticed a huge difference. Now I can recognize it when I use this face mist!)

Summer face mist

Immediately after I cleanse my face, I spray this face mist and let it sink in. Then I continue with my normal routine, including some combination of serum/oil/moisturizer depending on the season and my skin’s needs that day. If I’m feeling particularly dry or dehydrated, I’ll do a spray or two on top of my moisturizer, as well. Not only does it hydrate my skin, but also this face spray is not sticky and doesn’t break me out! I experienced both of those issues with several other face mists. All in the name of beauty, right?

The Herbivore Botanicals Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist is all-natural and contains coconut water, witch hazel, soothing aloe vera, hibiscus flower petals and Bulgarian rose. It is also paraben-free, sulfate-free and phthalate-free so you can feel good about what you are putting on your skin! …. And what you are inhaling if you’re like me and accidentally breathe in while spraying your face.

While I’ll use this face mist year-round, it is the perfect product for summer. Throw it in your pool or beach bag, take it to work or just save it for when you get out of the shower. Do you currently use a face spray? This one has made me a believer!
