One of my favorite forms of self care is taking a bath. This developed into a full-blown ritual when we moved into our house a year ago and discovered the huge tub in the master bath. It’s a way for me to wind down from the day, the week or just have some me-time. There are many different kinds of bath soaks, but I typically use some combination of aromatherapy and epsom salt or sea salt. Recently, I found the best bath soak for times when I want to relax, as well as times when I’m feeling under the weather.
The brand of these magical bath soaks is Pursoma, an all natural bath and body line. Pursoma’s bath products sooth, rejuvenate and detox the body from the inside out. Plus, all of their formulations are created from Eco-cert, organic, hand-harvested or sustainably farmed ingredients sourced from nutrient-rich waters and the earth.
Calming Bath Soak
The Apres Savasana bath soak is best for relaxing and calming my mind and body. Made from hand-harvested French grey sea salt, wild-harvested seaweed and sustainably-farmed spirulina, this nourishing soak brings me to a state of bliss every time I use it. I try to soak in this every other week to keep my stress levels in check, but sometimes it’s necessary at least 1-2 times a week. I’ll never forget the first time I tried it, and as soon as I got out of the tub, I felt an immediate sense of calm and relaxation that usually takes a wonderful yoga class or two glasses of wine to achieve. I’ve been hooked ever since!
Healing Bath Soak
The Hot Tub bath soak is my secret weapon against sickness. Made from Eco-cert French green clay, French grey sea salt and organic ginger root powder, this soak helps to stimulate and detoxify the body, aiding in the elimination of toxin build-up to combat congestion, body aches and fatigue.
I recently had a sinus infection (thanks, TN allergies), and felt achy and congested. I poured the hot tub magic in, soaked in it and did their signature “rest and sweat” for 20 minutes afterwards. That night, I slept through the night with zero congestion and woke up the next morning feeling 10 times better. Magic! I also had my husband try it when he wasn’t feeling well – ya know, just to make sure it wasn’t a fluke or all in my head – and he had the same experience. While this isn’t cheap, I’ve stocked my bathroom cabinets with this stuff to have on hand the next time I don’t feel well.
I’m so excited I’ve found the best bath soak that I just want to share with all of my friends! Do you have a favorite one? I love learning about new ones and discovering what works best. Let me know your experience with these bath soaks if you end up trying them. Happy soaking!
